Terms and Conditions
The following terms and conditions will apply to your booking. They form the terms of a legally binding contract between us and you.
The Feathers Hotel proprietors reserve the right to add to and/or amend the following terms & conditions as required. Please check this page for updates to our terms & conditions. Many of our terms and conditions below are standard throughout the hotel industry.
Confirmation of Booking
Your booking will be confirmed when we acknowledge receipt of your booking request and deposit. Until then the booking will only be regarded as provisional.
We reserve the right to change room rates at any time. However the price of your chosen stay will be confirmed and guaranteed at the time of booking.
When booking by telephone, fax or email a deposit of 25% per person is required to confirm a reservation. All deposits are non-refundable and non transferrable in the event of cancellation or no shows.
Booking deposits can be paid by cash, cheque, credit/debit card. We donít charge any additional fee for paying deposits by credit or debit card.
However balances due on arrival paid by credit card will incur an additional charge of 3%.
We can only accept one credit/debit card transaction per booking.
If paying your balance on arrival with cash, which is preferred, as the party leader please could you collect the balances from each member of your party prior to arrival so as to have the correct amount due when collecting your room keys.
N.B. Reservation deposits by cheque can only be accepted if received by us 14 days or more prior to the arrival date.
Reservation balances must be paid in full on arrival. Cheques cannot be accepted for balance payments.
Cash payments can only be accepted in GBP (pounds Sterling)
Bookings cannot be accepted unless we hold valid credit/debit card details which must be provided on check in if not previously provided.
Telephone reservations can only be accepted from guests providing valid credit or debit card details with the card expiry date later than the check out date.
When booking on behalf of other people or on behalf of a group, it is the responsibility of the person making the booking (Ďthe Party Leaderí) to ensure that every member of the party has read and fully understood all the booking conditions.
We can only accept one credit/debit card transaction per booking. Payment must be made by the party leader on behalf of the entire group. The party leader must be at least 18 years of age when the booking is made.
The party lead must provide photo ID at check-in.
We require a behaviour bond of £20 per person to be collected and paid by the group leader on arrival. Please note this is a group bond so even if damage occurs in a room not occupied by members of the same group the cost will be deducted from the entire group bond to cover the damage. If there is not enough money to cover the damage the cost must be paid in full before departure.
We regret we are unable to accept groups if the oldest group member is under 21 years old.
Cancelling and amending group bookings
If you cancel your group booking or reduce the number of persons, or rooms required, or the number of nights, we will not refund any money you have paid to us including any deposit paid.
Reservations for rooms are transferable to another person at any time up to and including check in. However once you have checked in, rooms are non-transferable and must not, under any circumstances, be sold or otherwise transferred to a third party who is not a member of your group.
Any additional guests arriving after check in will be regarded as additions to your group and will be charged for accordingly unless we are advised at check in.
You can add additional night/s to your group booking subject to availability after you have made the original booking which will be at the rate for the room(s) at the time you make the amendment.
Standard cancellation policy
The Management reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking(s) at their discretion. If you are excessively intoxicated when you first arrive you may be refused entry.
It is very unlikely we would ever have to cancel your booking, however, we reserve the right to offer you alternative accommodation similar to that booked or refund all deposits that you have paid. We cannot accept any further liability than this.
In the event of any cancellation or curtailment, if we are unable to re-let the accommodation booked, you will be liable to pay for the total costs as per the reservation and your credit/debit card as provided will be charged accordingly.
In the event that you cease to occupy a room or rooms that you have booked and we have evidence that you are no longer staying in the room/s, we reserve the right to terminate your booking contract and claim back the room with no refunds whatsoever, as you are no longer able to be responsible for the room/s.
All hotel keys must then be returned once you are advised of the contract termination otherwise a charge to your credit/debit card will be made to pay for replacement room key/s as well as the cost to replace the main door lock including the cost for additional main door keys for all our rooms.
By making a reservation you are authorising us to make these charges to the credit/debit card provided by you without any additional consent being required.
Bookings cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival will be charged in full if the room/rooms are not re-let. Deposits paid are non refundable.
All cancellation charges are subject to possible full reimbursement if accommodation is re-let and payment has been in accordance with the Contract.
In the event of no show, you will be charged the full cost of the booking
To prevent any potential loss due to cancellations you are advised to take out travel-insurance.
The prices stated on our website include room and bed and breakfast only. Meals and drinks are available as optional extras which must be paid. for at the time of ordering.
Meal times will be advised on check in on request. There are no refunds for meals ordered but not taken or spoilt due to late arrival.
Making a reservation confirms that the person making the reservation has seen on our website or an advert on another website, details of what facilities are included and details of the room/s reserved and accept our terms & conditions.
The proprietors cannot accept responsibility for loss of guestsí property. Any personal effects left behind in the hotel and unclaimed after 24 hours of check out will be disposed of without any further notification.
Any guest found to be discriminating, rude, ill-mannered or creating an unsettling atmosphere or found to be jeopardising the safety or enjoyment of other guests or hotel staff will be asked to leave the premises immediately and barred from any future visits and will not be issued any refund for monies paid.
Due to insurance, fire regulations and hotel policy, only registered guests and their group members are allowed in the hotel and guest bedrooms, unless an agreement is made with the management. In the event of any guest bringing non residents into the hotel without managementís consent an additional guest fee will be made and taken from the guestís/party leaderís credit/debit card for an amount equivalent to our website tariffs or the rate the guest paid, whichever is the greater amount.
Fire regulations mean you will be required to sign a pre-completed registration form when you check in.
Check in & check out times
Check in time is from 2.00 pm. Rooms must be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure. Earlier check in is possible subject to confirmation by us the day prior to your arrival.
If a later departure from Blackpool is intended we can store your luggage subject to availability of space. This service is available up to 4.00pm of the same day. If luggage is left after this time a storage charge of £3.50 per case/bag will be made.
Luggage collection cannot be made during busy meal times between 4.30 Ė 6.30pm
Please let us know what time you expect to arrive if possible. If you have not arrived by 7.00pm on the day of arrival and have not informed us that you will be arriving late, the balance due will be charged using the credit/debit card used to pay the booking deposit.
We reserve the right to charge for an extra nights stay in the event that check out is excessively late.
Smoking is prohibited in all public areas of the hotel. Hotel guests are able to smoke on the outside patio area at the front of the hotel using the ash trays provided.
To ensure the comfort of our non smoking guests, if we find that guests have been smoking in the room, or anywhere on the premises, then we reserve the right to ask you to leave immediately. You will remain liable for the whole of the cost of your stay. Whether or not you are asked to leave, we also reserve the right to charge a sum equivalent to one night's stay if we are unable to re-let the room for 24 hours whilst it is fully aired.
Anyone found smoking or tampering with the smoke detectors in their room will be asked to leave. A cleaning charge of £50 will be charged if evidence of smoking is found upon subsequent cleaning of rooms.
By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you authorise us to charge these costs to the debit/ credit card used to secure the booking.
Sorry we do not accept pets.
Children aged 12 years and under rates are 50% of Adult price when sharing a room with 2 full paying adults.
Children occupying a room with no adults or sharing a room with only one adult will be charged at the adult rate.
Children under 2 years of age stay free of charge if sleeping in your own travel cot.
Children aged 2 - 5 years only £10 when sharing a double bed.
Between the ages of 2 & 12 years in their own bed HALF PRICE with two full paying adults*
If you require a cot the rental cost is £10 for the duration of your stay, however you must bring your own bedding for the cot.
Cot rental must be requested at the time of booking.
12 years and above are on adult tariffs.
Limited car parking is available for a small additional charge.
Subject to availability and MUST be pre-booked. The Feathers hotel does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles parked on our car park and guests use the car park at their own risk. If a parking space is reserved it cannot be cancelled and will be charged for. (No 7 seaters or minibuses)
Tampering with emergency systems
We reserve the right to take action against any guest found to have tampered / interfered with any fire detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas and bedrooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and additionally may be asked to leave the hotel. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, the Police may become involved at the hotelís discretion. Should the fact that fire fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to make a charge to the guest or party leader's credit / debit card, or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.
Damage, theft, loss or excess mess
The party leaderís credit/debit card information is to be left for security but will not be charged unless any breakages, damages or losses occur, however caused by any member of your group. We accept zero tolerance in cases of deliberate damage which will be charged for fully. If we are unable to rent any room/s due to damage however caused, we reserve the right to charge the daily rate for every day the room/s is un-rentable.
If you believe there is existing damage or issues in your room which was there prior to your stay then this MUST be reported immediately after occupying the room, otherwise you will be liable for any damage or issues discovered later.
Loss of keys will be charged to the party leaderís credit/debit card at £12 per set. Additional sets of keys for guests will require a £10 deposit, refundable when keys are returned.
Towels are provided for standard use. However any towels used to remove makeup or to mop up vomit or drinks etc will be charged for.
By making a reservation you confirm that you and all members of your party agree to and are bound by our Terms & Conditions and in the event of any breach of our terms and conditions you authorise us to charge any costs incurred to the debit/credit card used to secure the booking without any additional consent being required from you.
We are members of Q-Alert, who maintain a database of information about guests whose behaviour is unacceptable. We may share your information with members of the Q-Alert and this may result in our members refusing to accept bookings from you in the future.
